UV shielding performance: The UV shielding rate of zinc oxide is as high as 98%, which can effectively block the damage of ultraviolet rays.

Application Area

Enhanced thermal conductivity:

Nano-zinc oxide has a thermal conductivity of up to 25 W/(m·K) and is widely used in rubber tires, electronic devices and solar cells.


Rubber and plastic modification as rubber vulcanizing active agent:

Nano-zinc oxide can enhance wear resistance and aging resistance, and is used in the manufacture of anti-static tires and wear-resistant rubber products. Adding 40% nano-zinc oxide to polypropylene (PP) increases the thermal conductivity to 1.83W/(m·K) while maintaining the insulation and mechanical properties.


Coatings and sun protection:

Nano-zinc oxide has better shielding efficiency against ultraviolet (UV) than titanium dioxide and is widely used in sunscreens, cosmetics and architectural coatings.


Photocatalysis and Environmental governance:

Nano-zinc oxide decomposes organic matter under ultraviolet light and is used in sewage treatment, air purification and self-cleaning ceramics. It can degrade harmful gases such as formaldehyde and sulfides, and is used in marine coatings to achieve antibacterial and antifouling.


Solar cell:

The thermal diffusivity of nano-zinc oxide films increases with the increase of concentration. An appropriate concentration of zinc oxide precursor solution (such as 0.5 mol/L) can make the thermal conductivity of the film reach 4.69W/(m·K), reducing the efficiency attenuation of solar cells due to high temperature.

Piezoelectric and sensor: Using its piezoelectric effect, it is used in ultrasonic transducer, gas sensor and invisible material.   

Food and agriculture: As an antibacterial preservative to extend the shelf life of food, and as a plant growth regulator to increase crop yield.
